Beverley and Holderness Labour Party
Campaigners fighting Women’s State Pension
Inequality (WASPI) will be taking their campaign
to the streets in Beverley this Saturday, 8th December, between 10am and noon.
They will be joining Beverley Labour members in
Toll Gavel to highlight the discrimination facing
hundreds of thousands of women who were born in the UK in the 1950s.
Speaking today, Beverley Labour’s George McManus
said, ‘100 years after the first women won the right to
vote, it’s disgraceful that they’re still having to fight for
fair treatment. Women born in the 1950s are still
being callously and unfairly treated, We hope
everyone will take the opportunity to come along and
find out more about the campaign and meet these
wonderful women campaigners.’
