PRESS RELEASE
Campaigners are calling on Boris Johnson to call an immediate General Election in order to resolve the impasse created over the chaos of Brexit.

This follows the announcement that parliament is to be prorogued from early in September to October 14, only a fortnight before the UK is due to crash out of the EU.

Speaking today, Beverley and Holderness Labour Party’s secretary George McManus, said, ‘This is the most cynical of moves from our most cynical of Prime Ministers. The current political crisis paralysing Parliament, also has the potential to create a constitutional crisis with the Queen being dragged into the political arena.’

He went on, ‘If the Prime Minister was being honest with the public, he would call a General Election now.   He has no mandate for a no deal Brexit.   If he feels confident in his strategy, then he should be willing to put it to the people.   If he doesn’t, and we subsequently crash out, then history will hold him to be the greatest political wrecker since Henry 8th.’
