Vice Chair (Membership) of the CLP
I joined the party in 1966.
At different times I have been Chair and Secretary of the Beverley and Holderness CLP and the East Riding Labour Party. I am presently Vice-Chair of both.
My main political interests are Housing and Education.
I’m a great believer in local council provision of council houses and of education.
I’m also totally opposed to private education and its various offshoots – academies etc.
I’m horrified by the gradual private takeover of the NHS and the disaster that is social care.
